Nordic Spirit's Mini can, reviewed: 14 pouches, three strengths, and a 'Regular' worth two numbers
Mini cans hold 14 pouches to the standard tin's 20 at about the same price a pouch on multibuy. Strengths 3 to 9 mg, and why 'Regular' varies.
Nordic Spirit’s UK homepage flags Sweet Mint and Raspberry as new in Mini pouch size. The format is not new: the brand’s own archive dates Mini to February 2021, when it arrived as Spearmint at 3 mg. What is worth recording is not a launch but a set of numbers, and one word that will not hold still across them.
Updated 9 October 2026: new search title and summary; the article text is unchanged.

What is actually new here
Not the can, and not the low rung: Mini has carried a 3 mg Spearmint since 2021, below anything on the two new pages. What changed is that a format listed in one flavour at one strength now carries two more across the 4, 6 and 9 mg ladder, each as a plain per-pouch value — “Mellow 4mg/pouch” — on the Sweet Mint flavour page rather than a row of dots. A range decision, not an entry-level product.
The per-pouch price, and what it buys
Fourteen against twenty is a thirty per cent cut in what you take home. The price does not follow it down. At £2.70 the fourteen-pouch Mini comes to about 19.3p a pouch; at £3.90 the twenty-pouch standard comes to about 19.5p. Both are multibuy floors rather than a shelf comparison, so read them as indicative — but two tenths of a penny is the whole gap.
The pouch is the other variable, and both new pages carry identical milligram figures for the two formats: same stated milligrams, less material, the same price per pouch. Not a saving.
Regular means 3 mg here and 6 mg there
The vocabulary is where this range loses marks. Within Sweet Mint and Raspberry the words sit on 4, 6 and 9 mg — Mellow, Regular, Strong — coherent enough as a three-rung scale.
Step across to Spearmint and it stops being coherent. Regular is 3 mg in the Mini can and 6 mg in the standard one: same word, same flavour, two values, separated only by which tin was picked up. Spearmint’s standard can runs past Strong to an X-Strong at 11 mg, and the guide on the brand’s homepage goes further again, to six dots at 17 mg, marked for an experienced user. So Strong on a Raspberry can means 9 mg while the brand’s own guide tops out at nearly twice that. It is the failure recorded here across the category’s strength ladder, except that the shorthand now slips inside one brand, and one flavour.
What 4 mg does not tell you
No pouch weight appears on any page recorded. Without one, 4 mg cannot be put on a milligrams-per-gram basis, the convention some ranges state instead — and that gap matters more once the pouch has shrunk. As this site’s review of slim and regular pouch formats set out, a format change alters what a per-gram number means. And a stated figure describes what is in the pouch, not what reaches the person using it: a lower number is not a claim about effect.
The window before 29 October
The brand’s UK site currently runs a try-before-you-buy sample, offered to existing adult smokers or vapers new to pouches, alongside its statement that the products contain nicotine and are for smokers or vapers aged 18 or over. From 29 October 2026, under the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026, it becomes an offence to give away a nicotine product or a coupon for one, or to sell either at a substantial discount, where the purpose or effect is to promote it; the Department of Health and Social Care sets that out in its guidance on selling vaping and nicotine products. A format launch is exactly the moment a range leans on sampling and introductory pricing, and both routes close that day.
Pros and cons
Verdict
For the record: every number needed to unpick this is published somewhere — across four product pages and a homepage guide. A shopper in front of the tin has one.
Nordic Spirit pouches contain nicotine and nicotine is an addictive chemical. This record is kept for adults of 18 and over who already use nicotine, and nothing in it describes any pouch as safe, as lower risk, or as a way of stopping smoking.
