The Nordic Spirit rows come from the brand’s published strengths guide, dated 6 April 2021; its 6, 9 and 11 mg Standard ladder and 3 mg Mini Regular are repeated on the live Spearmint page. The Velo rows come from the brand’s UK strength guide and its UK homepage.
Why the retailer guides disagree
In the text of the five incumbent retailer pages this desk could open, none names all five Nordic Spirit tiers, gives a per-gram figure or cites either brand. The spread is consistent with mixing two units: Nordic Spirit states X-Strong as 11 mg per pouch and 17 mg per gram, so a page that reads the second as the first prints “17 mg” for a tier the brand calls 11. Velo’s guide names it: its strength “is measured in nicotine mg per pouch,” while for some pouches it “could be mg per gram.” Both brands also use dots: Nordic Spirit’s Your Nordic Guide, read the same day, gives a new user “1 or 2 dots on the can” and an experienced user 6, with no milligram figure in the text as read, while Velo’s guide maps only its two Mellow dots, 4 and 6 mg, as this site found when it decoded the Velo dot scale.
Is Velo stronger than Nordic Spirit?
Not on the stated top figure. Velo’s UK guide gives Intense as 14 to 17 mg per pouch, with 17 mg listed against Ruby Berry and Purple Grape; Nordic Spirit’s guide gives Max as 17 mg per pouch. Level at 17, with Velo listing more steps below and Nordic Spirit the lowest figure, 3 mg.
What is the strongest Nordic Spirit nicotine pouch?
The brand’s guide, dated 6 April 2021, names Max as its strongest tier at 17 mg per pouch and 24 mg per gram, above X-Strong at 11 mg. The live Spearmint page read on 15 September 2026 lists only Regular, Strong and X-Strong, so a Max can on sale today was not verified.
How many mg is a Nordic Spirit Regular?
It depends on the can. The guide and the live Spearmint page both state Regular as 6 mg per pouch in the Standard size and 3 mg in the Mini; the guide adds 9 mg of nicotine per gram for both, the one figure that holds across the two formats.

A stated figure describes the pouch, not what reaches the user, two separate numbers. Both brands’ pouches contain nicotine and nicotine is an addictive chemical. From 29 October 2026 it will be an offence to sell nicotine pouches to anyone under 18, per the Department of Health and Social Care’s guidance on selling vaping and nicotine products.
